Boris von Berliner is a super friendly and playful 2-year-old German Shepherd with an outgoing and engaging personality. His owners purchased him from a breeder when he was a puppy but sold their house and could not take him with them. His father was a classic black and tan German Shepherd and his mom was a pure white shepherd, which is where Boris gets his beautiful light colored coat from. Boris is quite the character and loves to run and play with the tennis ball and toys. Boris knows some basic commands but would definitely benefit from an obedience course where he could polish up what his owners started with him. He is treat motivated and learns very quickly. Boris will alert to other dogs on leash, so he needs an owner who can work with him on leash manners. He needs someone a little savvy with the shepherd breed who can provide him with some structure and order. He’s such an exceptional dog and deserves someone who is willing to put the time into him with basic training and quality time together either hiking, walking or something together. Boris is your quintessential “best friend” kind of dog and will make an amazing companion. NO CATS or small dogs.
